History

Pixar Place Hotel opened in 1984 as the Emerald Hotel of Anaheim, eventually becoming the Pan Pacific Hotel. Disney purchased it in 1995 and changed its name to DIsneyland Pacific Hotel. In 2001 it was renamed Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel because it overlooked ‘Paradise Pier’ at the new Disney’s California Adventure. In 2022 Disneyland announced it would be re-themed to Pixar Animation Studio artwork, and reopened as Pixar Place Hotel on January 30, 2024.

It’s the first Disney resort dedicated to Pixar Animation. It has fabulous theming in the lobby, rooms, and pool and rooftop game area with fireworks viewing.
