Located on 750 acres of pine and cypress forest, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground captures the enduring charm of the American frontier. The Resort is home to a variety of wildlife such as deer, ducks, armadillos, and rabbits, offering guests the opportunity to explore picturesque woodland trails, enjoy lively pool areas, entertainment, and delicious country-style cuisine.

History

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, situated in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area at the Walt Disney World Resort, is a themed camping resort that opened its doors on November 19, 1971. Nestled next to Bay Lake, near Disney's Wilderness Lodge, the resort captures the rustic charm of the American frontier. Spanning 750 acres of Pine and Cypress forest, the campsite features two primary areas: one for campsites where guests can pitch tents or park recreational vehicles, and the other area is dedicated to cabins.
